A Script For Sci-Show (Science and philosophy breakthroughs and ideas Part 2)

Scintillating and inspirational is what we ask science to be, to take mundane topics and on a weekly basis illuminate our darkened corners with fresh light.

That, however will not be addressed today instead we shall be addressing the pressing issue of bad smells, fish fart’s and the quite serious topic of breast cancer welcome to today’s episode of Sci-Show.
Researchers from the University of South Florida have recently discovered the first possible evidence of underwater non-mammalian flatulence.  In a hope to map sounds over a large area the researchers attached a hydrophone to the back of an autonomous gliders and made it travel in a saw-tooth pattern through a column of water, sampling ocean sounds for 25 seconds every 5 minutes.
Fish That Fart Also Smoke

When the results returned at least 3 unknown biological sounds suspected to be produced by fish were identified through analysis of the sound files.  Researchers have said the probable farts  were most likely a group of fish that mainly at night time release gas from an internal buoyancy organ called a swim bladder.

So there you have it, fish may be farting in the worlds ocean but only at night.
