Of Trees and Paper Aeroplanes (Random Days out With Richard Part 1)

Hey universe

Yesterday was Thursday.

Now on days that I have no band centred activities and are Thursday as yesterday was I meet up with a group of friends to train Parkour in the street.  We move to a different place once a a month and we call the group 1 spot = 1 month  or OSOM (pronounced awesome).

I was already in a hyper mood leaving work as the sun was out AND at lunch time I too Christina, a friend of my to the local park and we did some slacklining.

The slacklining did not last long as Chris was not letting go of the tree, and at some point I suggested climbing the tree.  To her credit she was not sure if she could but she gave it a go.  And up we went, higher and higher till we were almost at the top and we were definitely  as high as the local rooftops.

Unfortunately Chris only get a half hour lunch so we had to scoot back down the tree and pack away the slack line ASAP.  On the way back from the park we both realised that we were covered in green pacthes of stuff from the tree. GOOD FECKING TIMES.

So back to the OSOM crew.  I had been training for a bit and the crew of Mamo, Juwad, Abdu, Matt, the awesome guy (whose name I keep forgetting) and surprisingly Kresta (she is leaving the country booooo) had shown up.

While we were training  a few of us noticed that something fell out the sky into the grass.  I went to investigate and found a paper plane.  No big deal right ... not much of a random, till I opened/unfolded it and found the drawing inside.

The un folded paper plane

Much hilarity ensued, with everyone calming they were drawing someone else of the group.  I shouted out thanks and how I thought it was really cool.

More parkour (mainly jumping on rails near the river bank of the Thames ) and tricking (some amazing, mine shit) then followed and then...

Another plane fell from the sky.  This time I think Mamo unfolded it and inside the pic was a bit more accomplished.

The 2nd Plane

Well soon after the awesome guy whose name escapes me said he would like some Evian, and water did fall from the heavens and splash him and with out a heartbeat passing he said "I hope that's not urine"... Points for speed.

After that more jumping laughs and home time.

More random days like this please.

A Script For Sci-Show (Science and philosophy breakthroughs and ideas Part 2)

Scintillating and inspirational is what we ask science to be, to take mundane topics and on a weekly basis illuminate our darkened corners with fresh light.

That, however will not be addressed today instead we shall be addressing the pressing issue of bad smells, fish fart’s and the quite serious topic of breast cancer welcome to today’s episode of Sci-Show.
Researchers from the University of South Florida have recently discovered the first possible evidence of underwater non-mammalian flatulence.  In a hope to map sounds over a large area the researchers attached a hydrophone to the back of an autonomous gliders and made it travel in a saw-tooth pattern through a column of water, sampling ocean sounds for 25 seconds every 5 minutes.
Fish That Fart Also Smoke

When the results returned at least 3 unknown biological sounds suspected to be produced by fish were identified through analysis of the sound files.  Researchers have said the probable farts  were most likely a group of fish that mainly at night time release gas from an internal buoyancy organ called a swim bladder.

So there you have it, fish may be farting in the worlds ocean but only at night.
